Click Test

Start with a five second click speed test, then find the click test that answers your exact question.

How many times can you click in 5 seconds?

Click or tap the box as fast as you can. The timer starts on your first click.

One phrase, several tests

Click test is a broad term. Some people mean a speed challenge, some want to know whether their mouse is broken, and some want to train a particular button. The test on this page is the most common kind: a click speed test. It counts your left clicks or taps for five seconds and turns the total into clicks per second.

Press Start test, then click inside the box. The timer starts with your first click. While you click, you can watch the time left, your clicks and a live CPS figure. At the end you get your score to one decimal, a rating, your total and your best.

Kinds of click tests

Which page to use

If you just want to know how fast you are, stay here and take three to five runs. The Your scores panel keeps your best, average, attempts and a trend chart in this browser.

If you want to test your other button, go to the right click test. Its scores are kept apart from your left click history.

If your mouse sometimes clicks twice when you pressed once, or a held drag lets go by itself, speed is not the issue. Use the double click test, which looks at the timing between clicks to spot a worn switch.

If five seconds feels too short to show your real pace, try the 10 second click test. Longer runs show how much you slow down as your hand tires.

Getting a fair result

Whatever kind of click test you choose, keep the conditions steady. Use the same mouse or touchscreen, the same finger and the same technique each time. Compare your average rather than your single best run, and take a short break if your hand or wrist begins to ache.
