Aim Practice

Quick target practice for warming up before a match. No download, works with mouse or touch.

Hit 30 targets as fast as you can.

A target appears somewhere on the board. Click or tap it and the next one shows up right away.

Three quick aim practice drills

All three use the same 30-target board above. Only your goal changes.

1. Clean run

Hit all 30 targets without a single missed click. Go as slowly as you need to. This drill wakes up your control and sets the tone for the session. If you miss, start the run again.

2. Speed run

Now go for your fastest average. Accept a few misses, but check the accuracy figure on the result screen. If it falls below 85 percent you are rushing, and the missed clicks are costing you more time than they save.

3. Tight window

Make the browser window narrow, about half your screen, and do a run. Targets now appear close together, so every movement is a small correction. This is the kind of adjustment you make most often in a real game, when the crosshair is already near the target.

Run each drill once or twice. The whole warm-up takes under five minutes.

What to focus on while you practice

Eyes first. Find the next target with your eyes before your hand moves. The pointer follows where you look.

One smooth movement. Try to arrive on the target in a single motion, not a fast lunge followed by a correction. If you keep overshooting, your sensitivity may be too high.

Click on arrival. Pressing the button a moment before the pointer reaches the target is the most common cause of misses.

Loose grip. A tight hand is a slow hand. Hold the mouse firmly enough to control it and no more.

Practice with a purpose

Random clicking for ten minutes does little. Give each run one goal: accuracy, speed or small corrections. Then look at the result and decide what the next run is for.

Your recent runs are listed in the Your scores panel, so you can see whether today’s warm-up is ahead of or behind your usual level. On a slow day, do an extra clean run before you queue.

Aim Practice FAQ

How do I practice my aim for free?

Use the drill on this page. Press Start test and hit 30 targets. Repeat it with a specific goal each time, such as perfect accuracy or maximum speed, and watch your average in the score panel.

How long should an aim warm-up be?

Three to five minutes is enough. The aim of a warm-up is to get your hand moving and your eyes tracking, not to tire yourself out before the game starts.

Is it better to practice aim with a mouse or a trackpad?

Practice with whatever you actually play on. If that is a mouse, use the mouse. Skill with one input device transfers only partly to another.
